Right, lol. Where did I say pull out and go into Iran. Go into Iran right now. Lemme guess an attack on them is not warrant at this point right?
Also, you quoted what I said is irrelevent to THIS discussion.
Point being is they are being ignorant themselves if they think they are going to get away with running around sayin g like this. |

| So, let us get it straight here, a few days ago you were talking about pulling out of Iraq, since they didn't want you there anyway. Now you are saying attack Iran is probably a good idea cause they have "wmd". I try to point out how stupid you are, but you don't get the connection. What the you are suggesting you want to do the same thing again, the very same thing you just said was a misstake! ing think a little second what you are actually suggesting, and try to make sense! |

A few days ago, hmm Oh yes now I remmember sorry I had to laugh at you first before thinking. Let's see now...
First, the statistics in that thread are from people who have no or little knowledge of the outside world. You want a good comparision? Russia during the Cold War times. Second, them. They think they are so smart? Let them live in their huts and slaughtered by millions. Gimme a reason I should care?
Now, Iran doesn't have "wmd"s? Oh, ok. Their nuclear program is purely for energy. Gimme proof :)
You're inept in thinking realisticly. Hope you know someone who gets killed in the next terrorist attack so you wake bird-brained ass. You have a billion people running around wishing death upon our world and you have the balls to claim they deserve to be listened to.
Here's a quick thought for you, go to the middle east, stand in the middle of the street and preach your tripe to the "listening masses". See how far you get with it :)
Then, travel to NYC and go to union square and preach peace between nations. SOMEHOW, my intuition tells me you'll last longer over here ;) |

| I'm sure he does. But sadly all he can do is "call for it" because he and his entire nation are too impotent to actually do anything about it. |

Iran can hardly afford to take any aggressive action towards anyone, particularly an ally of the U.S., that is unless they're interested in being occupied.
Of course, even ignoring that, the Iranian military is large but underequiped and undertrained by 21st century standards. They don't have the mobile infrastructure or long-term economic resources to wage a successful war against Israel, and in all probability they'd be routed just as badly as past attackers unless they show much greater strategic and tactical acumen than they did 15 years ago against Iraq, which I have no reason to believe that they would.
This is type of chest-beating is nothing new in that part of the world. But as usual, there isn't anything to back it up, or else they wouldn't have any reason to bother proclaiming the doom of their enemies, they'd just create it. With all the empty talk we've heard from so-called "arab nations" in the last century, it's a wonder anyone bothers printing it any more. |

very interesting. I know a couple of members of these boards who could take some lessons from ya.
But he was simply proclaiming his stand point since their last leader wasn't such a hard liner. What if they possess nuclear capabilities in the near future? That is the biggest concern at this point. |

Iran could definitely become a bigger regional power in the reasonably near future if they develop nuclear weapons. However, even if they were to develop a nuclear arsenal, it's questionable if they would ever be in any position to use it aggressively against Israel. Good old Cold War nuclear deterrence theory would suggest that Iran would be deterred by the possibility of a retaliatory strike from the U.S. which would most likely be far more devastating than anything they could potentially create in the near future.
The biggest threat would be Iran providing nuclear technologies to terrorists who could carry out an attack "unofficially" which Iran could then publicly condemn and attempt to politically maneuver themselves such that a nuclear retaliation would be unlikely. However, this would still be a very risky move on the part of Iran, and I personally doubt they're quite crazy enough to take that risk.
I suspect Iran's nuclear ambitions are primarily for defensive purposes, at least in the short run. After seeing US aggression in Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran must recognize that it is the next "logical" target and most likely wishes to create enough of a deterrent as to persuade the US government that an attack against Iran would be more costly than it is worth from a geopolitical standpoint. |

For them, dying is a holy thing. They'd seriously blow up Israel and then get blown up just because they are martyring themselves to allah and all. That's why our logic and reasoning isn't the same to theirs. What you and others (including me) think and speculate could be true for Russia, Europe, even North Korea but not for the fundementalists. The problem in this case is that no far-fetched thought or scenario is really that far fetched/ |

Most of them are not as eager to die as you think. Even in terrorist organizations, it is never the leaders who go on suicide missions, they just dupe desperate and psychologically unstable grunts into doing it. There are no doubt people in Iran who would be so inclined, but I doubt their leaders are genuinely among them. Authority gravitates towards survivors. |
