View this Thread in Original format

Hi there,

last ten days, i´ve worked on this track - story behind the track is a flight from Orlando to San José, Costa Rica in the evening with a fantastic sunset over more or less 2 hours...

Well, i was so impressed - so i´ve tried to put these feelings into a track...

Hey S-Tune,

You've done a nice job here - the atmosphere is very peaceful.

Some of the quieter synths in the background sound very cool.. the "squeaky" one especially.. hope you know what I mean! Great texture there.

Nice work on the piano too :)

I'm sorry I don't have any constructive feedback - found everything quite enjoyable!

Looking forward to hearing more of your stuff,
Trev

sooper, thanks for your positive feedback!

I´m not sure whether the track is too long or not...

great atmosphere!

i think the low chord changes come really too early in the track. I'm not too fond of the jumpy bassline coming around 1:00, not chilly enough IMO. strings and piano are very nice.

good job overall :)

Hello,
Nice pads, like the percussion also, sounding jazzy with the cymbal and the brush snare.
I am not a fan of the beat, I would used some claps with delay like vangelis in chariots of fire instead that snare and kick.

Piano is nice, also the synth lead supporting it :D.
Overall, this could be another great tune, hoping to hear the final version with the mastering well done :).

Nice percussion!

I really like what you've done here! It's nice and slow and atmospheric, and very emotional.

Do you mean the beat structure or just the sound of the snare and kick?

this track is close to being on par with 'nightflight'. overall melodies are not quite as strong but the overall track structure seems better and the nice slow breakbeat works really well. another really moving piece from you soren. perfect for my hangover this morning! what is your main source of sound? are you hardware based?

nightflight: i played this one as my last but one tune. just before i played my track - 'chilldown101'(prog remake) i ve been listening to your track a great deal for the last few weeks and wanted to play it on a nice big system to a crowd. they had had what they wanted from me with regards to nice driving tracks so a chillout track worked really well as my last but one track. also, the night was mainly alcohol based without much 'xtc' being used and there was a lot of open minded culture around too. this made the crowd a bit more open to non banging tracks. they were also buzzin a bit cos they could see my right hand man 'norbet legs' getting ready to play after me...

i love both of these tracks mate:)

:D - nice compliment

@richg101:

Well, on the hardware side, i use a lot the Virus B - great synth even for chillout because of its pads and leads...
I also use the ES2-Synth from Logic and Z3ta (many possible sounds...)

Cheers S-Tune

Both, because changing the snare for a clap or a brush snare adding delay like vangelis in chariots of fire the beat will change a bit also, Hope I made me understand :D.

I really really love the melody of this and would love to add it to my next ambient mix set. Can you post a 256k version? I would be willing to pay for it if you post it on itunes or something.

Thanks!
