I get tested every year or pre-new partner. Remember, 1 in 5 test positive for herpes, yay? You may have it subdermal and carry it but never have a break out. Oh, HPV (virus that causes genital warts) 60% of women have or have been exposed to it by the age of 30. Scary STD world out there; skin to skin contact is the method of transmission.
Sex sucks. |

Yea, everyone should get tested at LEAST every 6 months... I've been tested several times over the years... All kinds of STDs you can carry for a long time and never know that you even have it... HIV can take up to 6 months to even show positive on test... So, the safest bet is to get tested every 6 months.... Goes for gays and straights alike...:thepirate
Think of it this way.... if you have HIV and give it to others w/o being tested, you're essentially committing murder... if you put yourself at risk w/o insisting others be tested, and you contract HIV, you are essectially committing suicide... I don't think anyone wants to commit either...
If you get Herpes, you're damaged goods for life and mothers can pass to children and guys can pass to mothers or other partners, w/o even having a breakout...
Scary stuff :nervous: |

Umm no. I just got that bull done to me not more than 2 months back. The q-tip thing, which is, I should add, VERY disagreeable, tests solely for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. For Syphilis, they give you a blood test in the arm. Also, to be on the safe side, I got the shot for Gonorrhea and it was the most painful shot I'd ever incurred. Stuff like this makes you not want to sans a condom ever again... |
