| It's funny how the smallest thing can make you remember something that happened in ur life that meant so much to u! Does anyone agree? |

It is true....sometimes just a drive up to the cottage can remind me of so many great times.
It's amazing how are brains can lock away information and all of a sudden.....BOOM you recall it. |

| Or how a certain song, or scent, can be so closely associated with memories. And then everytime you hear that song, you're instantly in that moment again. |

I am really bad for attaching songs to certain people...I have many songs that if I hear them remind me of someone who is or was close to me |

nothing to hate...
its just there.
I have one cd, given by someone that was special to me. I try not to put it on, but the odd time I gave in. All I can do is think of her for the next couple of hours. That part usually sucks.
It is pretty funny though how the most random objects can signify something that meant so much to you. |

apparently or so i was reading a couple of months back , deep memories are usually locked in and triggered again by a strong emotional response at the time , ie fear love ,shock trauma anger etc
music is also strongly associated with memories and often help people relate to a time or place or a person in thier lives , again a strong emotional response
for me i can never hear Funky town Lipps Inc , without remembering where i was --first time in the USA on vacation in Florida with my parents, the track had just come out and every radio station seemed to be playing it 20 times a day.
Just have to hear then=t funky opening sound and I am transported back to 1980 and it always puts a big smile on my face :) |
