.cue file question

I dunno which forum to post this in, maybe you people can help me. I have a bunch of audio files that are merged into one long track, what I was wondering was if and how I would create a generic .cue file that can automatically split a single track into five minute segments when I burn the file. Each track is between 40 and 70 minutes and I want to split up those files into smaller tracks for easier listening. Maybe there is an easier way? If so- enlighten me.

not sure what its called.....i think cue player? but its an audio playing program that will read a cue file and split the mp3 into the tracks.....

to make one...simply open up notepad and title the .cue file the exact name of the mp3

TITLE "Title"
PERFORMER "anythingYouWant"
FILE "whatever.mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
TITLE "Track1"
PERFORMER "Artist"
INDEX 00 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "Track2"
PERFORMER "Artist"
INDEX 00 05:00:00
TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "Track3"
PERFORMER "Artist"
INDEX 00 10:00:00

so on.............

does that help?
