There is no real advantage for samples to be in a different root key as 'C'. And unless they are "multisampled" or anything similar, samples with root key 'C' will also rapidly diminish in quality when played on different octave scales.
What I would suggest is, from a specific 'sound', to get as many keys as possible and combine them in one Soundfonjt file (*.sf2). Vienna is a good tool to make them for example. This way you can assign specific 'areas' of the notebar to a specific sample. Would increase quality a lot more I think :) |
