I've been hit today with a really weird virus/trojan that keeps eating my default hard drive space...every two seconds it decreases my space by 2 mgs :/
any fix? |

Yeah mine pc has been slowing down for some reason I dont know why..

What is the name of the virus (what is the name of the .exe)? You can find it in the task manager. |

| no .exe is found...basically it eats my space until I have 1 MB left...and then it reverts back to my original amount and starts again....aye aye aye |

| Check the processes tab in the task manager, it should be there if it's running on your comp. |

Get NOD32 Anti-virus. It's one of the best anti-virus programs out there, and uses very little of your computers resources.

| It stopped...I will run a virus check before it starts again grrr...I'm already suffering from internal viruses on my hd... |

1. Download HiJackThis - http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/
2. Run it (it's a running process analyzer), and make sure you create a log file (no need to install)
3. Leave the HJT window open
4. Paste the log file's contents here - http://hjt.iamnotageek.com/
5. Parse the log file's contents to see what ed up you have running, and get rid of what it tells you to by deleting lines in the HJT window. |
