| fixing to put down a demo and I need blank cds. Is there a brand that I should stay away from or are they all just about the same? |

| Trance Nutter |
I used to use Pioneers, but now use TDKs and they are just fine, either of them. I only swapped cos TDKs were a bit cheaper and in 50 bundles.
In the end I really don't think it matters. |

| never had any problems with tdk with any burner or player. verbatim and basf are the crappiest ones i've ever used and some no brand ones have been crap too. some have worked on some burners/players some haven't! any way i'd go with tdk. too bad there's not any nonprinted tdk's available afaik. |

Have to disagree with you there on verbatim. Don't know which ones you had, but I haven't had any problems with them and I have burnt a fair share of cdr's. They play fine in every player I tried them in. I use the ones that have the mediacode from Taiyo Yuden. TY is said to be one of the best, if not the best dye.
Have some reads on cdfreaks.com and such.

i know most people say verbatims are the best, but i've had loads of problems with them, mainly on car cd-players, many blaupunkt cd-players for example. and the shiny top surface on them isn't very durable either. so i don't buy verbatims anymore, because IMO they're crap and they're expensive too, i don't really care what anyone else says, for me they're crap. |
