Trying to remove a distant tinny sound

One of my tracks sounds like it's being played in the distance, and it sounds tinny. What are the frequencies I should be boosting or reducing to fix this?
I'm using a graphic equaliser, but I'm unsure what I should be adjusting. Any ideas? Perhaps there is some other way I could do this? Anyone know of any sites that might explain what the different frequencies do? |

| What kind of reverb are you using? Sometime too much reverb can make everything sound like it's in the background, and often a cheap reverb will sound tinny. That's just my guess seeing as how you haven't posted a sample of the track. |

| If u post a sample, we can hear exactly what you mean and make it easier for us to figure what needs to be done. |

| Post a sample is an good idea but in first look into question maybe your track needs low frequencies with no verb... |
