Trying to remove a distant tinny sound

One of my tracks sounds like it's being played in the distance, and it sounds tinny. What are the frequencies I should be boosting or reducing to fix this?

I'm using a graphic equaliser, but I'm unsure what I should be adjusting. Any ideas? Perhaps there is some other way I could do this? Anyone know of any sites that might explain what the different frequencies do?

What kind of reverb are you using? Sometime too much reverb can make everything sound like it's in the background, and often a cheap reverb will sound tinny. That's just my guess seeing as how you haven't posted a sample of the track.

If u post a sample, we can hear exactly what you mean and make it easier for us to figure what needs to be done.

Post a sample is an good idea but in first look into question maybe your track needs low frequencies with no verb...
