Hey!!
This is a new track which I´ve been working really hard on during the last couple of weeks. It´s more mainstream than my previous tracks, very melodic and uplifting. I appreciate any opinions...and thanks in advance for your comments!
It´s a clip so if you´re a dj and want to play the whole track somewhere send me a PM...

i think you used too much reverb overall, it creates a spaced feeling but it makes the overall sound a bit muffled IMO. Also, the synths are a tad thin i'd say.
I like the melodies in here, original :)
other than that, good job ! |

Hey Lakeus,
Really nice clip of your new track. Just one thing, the ambient effect you add during the break does not really work well with the track I think.
I like the relaxed but still strange kind of atmosphere in the track. Perhaps you could make the track a bit quicker and add some extra percussion to get more energy as well.
Overall this track sounds pretty fresh and nice, not bad at all :) |

Thanks for your comments Staticblue and Nomen Nescio... I was really going for the epic sound on this track but maybe there is a tad too much reverb, I´ll experiment little bit with other settings.

Hello mate,
I concur with the reberv, it's saturated :D.
I like the super saws u use, nice pads also, and that kinda choird sound is really sweet.
The break is really cool, love the percussion and mood, is really epic really.
In overall, fix the reverb and u have a really cool tune mate, pretty original and mega fresh :D.
Good work ;).

Hello,
I'm hooked on this melody!! It's beyond epic.. fitting title! You did a great job coming up with something a little different.
The song in general sounds quite muffled though.. I think some fine tuning with your EQ's may do the trick..
I liked the little kick-fills in the break - very cool :)
Thanks for sharing,

Wow, very beautiful stuff... It's been awhile since I've heard someone make an epic trancer that sounds as beautiful as this... The pads in the breakdown are beautiful... Feels like a good dream :)
I have some suggestions though: the main pads could use a -9 dB cut from 500 hz and below and could have its volume reduced... Try to bring out some of the other elements of your track more and maybe add another lead but carve out its own spot in the mix so it doesn't interfere with the pads... Right now, the pads are taking up almost all the headroom in the mix, so things get cluttered up easily.. try giving a little bit of EQ and it would sound real nice.
The sound at around 1:05... I don't know whether they are vocals or some sound fx or something.... but it sounds really amazing... really adds to the epic atmosphere...
Really great stuff... Thanks for sharing! |

Thanks for all for your comments!!!
I don´t have time this week to work on the track but next week I´m gonna work on it. All of your comments are really useful...
J.L.: Thanks for your comments... really helpful. The vocals you are refering to is my loyal friend Delay Lama, one of my all-time favorite soft synths...
nick123: I´m glad to hear that you liked my track. I know that it´s really hard to make some tracks in the beginning but you´ll develop fast I´m sure. There are lots of good advice on this forum.. for example in the Production Studio-section. I use myself Logic Platinum 5.5 and various soft-synths. I´ve got also Novation Nova II-and Waldorf Pulse-synthesizers. It really doesn´t matter which program you use because you can get a pro sound with all of today´s sequencers and soft synths.
Best regards, Lakeus |
