Ok so i finnaly decided to accept a house party...
I need your guys help in speaker suggestions and im posting this in the AU instead of the Booth because you guys will know local (melb) and australian stores pretty well.
Iv currently got
-2 altec 604-8Gs 75 watt 15" sub duplux
-1 580watt technics amp

The party is in a small 2 car garage. Do you think these will be enough? Should i get another pair of two ways or should i get a sub?
Can I get some good recemondations for shops aswell please.
Thanks in advanced.

I've always found house parties to be more of a laid back social experience, can't imagine having a club in my garage  maybe I just don't hang with those sort of people.

But anyway, the acoustics in a garage are going to be absolutly shocking, so I wouldn't bother looking into anything pricey, jaycar stuff will be fine (not that I'm knocking jaycars fine work)

Jaycar do good work with some lighting too while your at it ;)

The person already has lights so i dont need to bother about them.
The only good thing about the garage is that the concrete floor will stop the bass feedback thru the TTs.
Ill look into jaycar, i kno someone who can get discounts for me.. I hope.

EDIT: Looking through jaycars online catalouge it doesnt seem like they got much. Only found these (Link) They seem kinda dodgy to me.

i used 3 mackie speaker that had amps in built, it was in a 2 car garage. although i live in ballarat and it was just out a bit in the forest so, maybe try just 2 good speakers. from my experience everyone was dance'n and was not just a laid back night which was good in my case.

Where did you get the mackies?

I've got a pair of those jaycar 12" party speakers, and they do their job well. They are by no definition HI-Fi, but they are loud enough, and come though with enough clarity.
Can certainly handle the power too, had mine for two and half years, they've taken some abuse in that time and still keep going.

At the risk of sounding like a Jaycar PR man, I've never heard or had an experience with anything of Jaycar's that 'dodgy'
