woah, really sorry to hear about this :sadgreen: :( :(
good thing you're ok tho mate.
definitely get the airbag issue sorted, perhaps get some of the body work done for free since they ed it up in the first place..then again.. hmmm maybe i wouldn't want the people who installed the nonfuctional airbag to fix the rest of the car... :nervous: :eyespop: |

ur not sposed to swerve from any animal, more people get killed every year from swerving then just hitting it straight on, plus here, if u swerve insurance wont cover it, if u dont swerve and hit it insurance does cover it. My friend swerved and over corrected, like u did only her car ended up rolling and she was in the hospital for 2 weeks :(
we have a lot of deer here and basicaly the best thing to do is slam on the breaks and hope u dont hit it too hard, ive had enough luck that they always go running outa the way.
glad to hear ur ok though :) sorry about ur car... damn fences :p |

i guess its just an implulse to swerve, so i'd prolly do the same thing...if i had a car that is, i mean a driver's license |

Not that I'm calling you a liar, but...wet roads + mud + deer in the road = oldest excuse in the book :haha: I've used that like 5 times. Even the time when I backed into a support pillar at a parkin garage. I swear there was a deer there.
But yeah, damaged car < damaged human. Glad that you're alright :D |

Yeah i know its an old excuse, because my sister used the "Deer" excuse when she crashed her car ages ago. But this was on farm land so the roads were muddy. As shades_of_gray said, the conditions were ty last night (We live in the same region) because we're getting your bloody leftovers from the Hurricanes!....lol, thinking about that i could have used the excuse "An Amish man fell from the sky and i swerved to miss him!" :toothless
Citric, if ya look at the pictures, my ground clearance isn't loads on my car (it isn't modified) so if i hit the deer it would have got wedged and possibly lifted my front wheels of the ground making me skid worse. Probably would have done more damage aswell but we shall never know.
Something i forgot to mention earlier, its lucky my car didnt keep going past the fence. About 20 feet across the grass infront of my car was a 10ft drop into a deep lake. The farmer said it was for duck shooting he sometimes hires out. So yeah, could have been alot worse. |

usualy when u hit them with a low car, they flip OVER the car, kinda funny to watch, just sucks if there is a car behind u |

Ouch, good to hear you're alright.
On my way home from a party last night I was so tired that I ended up falling asleep and driving onto the shoulder. Had it not been for those indents in the pavement that are supposed to make noise to wake people up, I probably would've been massively-ed. |

ya, that happens even more when you slam on the brakes, the front end dives down to the deer's knee.
ya just gotta learn not to swerve so much :wtf: I aim for the side of the deer. |
