Join avi's of mpg's

Is there any downloadable software in the web that can join different avi's or mpg's files in only one file?
Like HJSPLIT with mp3's, you know? |

I'm pretty sure you cannot put together avi to mpeg. Mainly because they are different formats, like trying to turn gears that aren't in synch.
You can use TMPGEnc to convert avi to mpeg to asf to etc. It's a simple conversion program. If you need anymore help on how to convert or burn DVDs goto www.vcdhelp.com.

No, that is not the question. Probably my english is not as good as I think.
Imagine this situation... I have three movie files, for example:
- Movie001.avi
- Movie002.avi
- Movie003.avi
And I want to put them together in one movie file and in that order.
What software should I use? |

I have software that can do that.... you can also put an .mpg, .avi, and a .asf together to form one whatever-you-want file.....

By the way....you can join any file type with HJSPLIT, not only mp3's. |

| HJSPLIT doesn't work properly for movies. I can only see the first file. |

Usually, at least for me, if I have a split mpeg (Daft Punk set of videos for instance) I can add .001, .002 etc and itll work just fine. Probably depends on the Codec though, AVI and MPEG are basically the same thing and the incompatibility depends on the video/audio compression. DivX and VCD and M2V are all different compression engines and thus qould not work if you tried to put them togedther. Just like trying to hollow out a volcano for your new secret underground lair.. it will eventually erupt and then youre screwed.
SIDENOTE: it amazes me to see how many people speak english so well as a second language. I want to learn french sooo bad so I can seduce women left and right! haha later

get virtualdub, thats all ull need to join .avi's anyway
