Ha, unsuprisingly I was actually taking the piss, I think Italy will win, after getting knocked out by penalty shoot-outs nearly every time recently, they'll be really pissed and up for it. Also, they have about the 2 best keepers in the world (Buffon and Toldo), Peruzzi would also make most international teams. Their defence is undisputed best in the world (apart from Thuram, France's is old and nothing like it was four years ago), not much will get past the combination of Cannavaro & Nesta at centre backs with Toldo or Buffon is goal. Del Piero is coming into form and he is gonna cause some up front with Totti & co.
If I didn't despise cheating bastards Argentina I'd probably tip them to win. I think we'd (England) would have a good chance if it weren't for out group draw & our poor defence that always lets us down. If we achieve second place, we'll get France in the next round (assuming they come top of their piss easy group), so basically we're not gonna win :( |
