This place is a TA-COR fake.

Can't say i don't like the track, and i kind of like the bassline around 0:30s - before the distorted part kicks in that is.
Also the "backup" melody crosses the main lead in a misleading way, seems they are both using the same preset ?

But, why post a 320kbps sample if the sound is going to be distorted anyway ?

btw,
You really did start your own label right ? what are the costs involved , a lot of paperwork too ?

EDIT
i'm not joking about the label, a colleague of mine is looking into starting one and i'm always interested in how it actually works ...
retiro
Pooh.... god, this is pooh! Sorry but all of your tracks sound empty, simple, all over the place and have that gay sounding lead!

I do however, find it funny that you have had to start your own label to sell this! Good luck, but for yourself pride I would take them down from Audiojelly!

Sorry if I have sounded harsh but to use the phase 'say it how it is' kinda suits this thread!

I stand by my comments and I stand by the fact that he had to create his own label to get his tracks on AJ (as if that were the supreme accomplishment).

Dude, my second comment was STRICTLY sarcastic, I didn't have a clue what you looked like or what programs you use to produce, or any of the things I said...
And yea, I had to create my own label to get my tracks up because people wanted to buy my tracks and I needed a place to sell them. Its not the supreme accomplishment, but I don't really give a , I've already sold 5 copies of that track alone so whatever...
You are entitled to your own opinion so I'm sorry for being sarcastic, and for telling you your a bad reviewer- at least you reviewed my track.
------------------
I personaly don't see where the distortion comes in, but i will have a look at the bassline and percs and I agree that the main lead is maybe a bit louder than it probably should be.
---------------
I give up on the theme part, I have no clue what the you guys are talking about when it comes to that...if this song has no theme, then I dont know what song does...i guess maybe the sample doesn't really convey the whole image of the song, but still...
-------
stino: pride its one of the seven sins and yea your entitled to your opinion, thanks for sharing it. I'm doing no such thing of taking it down.

I honestly appreciate all your comments even though most times people seem to put you down to lift themselves up on these forums. I sincerely hope I don't come off that way.

Thanks.

this whole thread seems to be one huge mis-communication.. why not let us all agree to disagree and close it and/or delete it and never speak of it again

:)

I'll delete allll my posts to it.

No hard feelings, iloop.. i try to be helpful but I understand where you're coming from saying that I wasn't as helpful as I could of been and was more mean that I should of been.

JEEZZ!! Anal, you're screaming for attention. Why you need all that, your ego is big enough, arrogant ! And why is it you want to have 'trance image' it's not gonna work for you for sure babyface!

Now you really like to tear tracks apart with 'reviews', Anal, but you just tear without mentioning why you tear. Good for you being honest, but constructive points make good reviews here, as that's what producers here are after, and your reviews are FAR from good. I'm really wondering why people come to you, it's not your reviews and obviously not your porker face.

ONTOPIC:

Well Anal's first post is indeed spot on, too bad it's only tearing. I do like the idea of the bass tho it's too distorted. Lead is too loud, makes you think as if there's no theme. Strings and percussion can be heard when the lead is pushed back and eq'd better. I'd suggest add more driving percs as well.

I agree with what you say Jay about alanzo, lol hijacking someone's thread to post a picture of yourself is quite ridiculous.
Also some of the other comments in here are out of order I think 'What a crap track' doesn't do any one any help, it certainly won't help iloop. I wonder what people get out of rubbishing other people's tracks without any constructive criticism.

Oh and - Analzo :D
Nomen Nescio
This thread has turned into a childish game of attack and defence.
I agree with the fact that Iloop takes criticism even when it is constructive the wrong way, I have read all comments here and I guess some people just flame him because he has had the nerve to put up a track like this on Audiojelly.

I frankly can't care less, for all I care black-hole would sign this. Anyone why likes this track, hey it is a free world. If Iloop wants to do it this way let him be people. But Iloop you seem to have a chip on your shoulder which could be a bit smaller ;)

Now on topic. I understand the remarks about the lack of theme. There is no theme in the sample. It is not in our face. It is just a synthriff (which ain't bad) going on and on. Because of the sample I do not know if this is the build up of the track or already the lead sound. I am hoping it to be the build up and that the actual THEME of the track will start after that and some good leadpattern will kick in during that themebreak and the actual track lifts of from there but I figure that this is already the theme and leadsection?

The kick in the track is muddy. With the kind of bass that you have going in this track a kick with more clarity, more high end would be nicer. Replacing the kick in this track for a good solid one would do wonders for the track (I speak out of experience, I had crap kicks when I started until I got a decent one and it makes a world of different to how everything sounds)

Also like I commented on your previous track, this track again sounds empty. It lacks a lot of sounds, especially percussionwise. The bass (which still needs good eqíng though) and synthriff make up for it a bit but the track feels like work in progress, a rough scatch of how it is going to be. Not like finished product already. Like in the previous track you put a lot of reverb on your main synth to make the track sound fuller but there is only the synth there , a kick and a bass and some sparse percussion. That is the way it sounds. If two out of the three main ingredients lack, you have a bit of a problem ;)

Try to add more layers to the track, percussionwise (my tracks also lacked good percussions and I am still learning to get more drive in the track with such details with the help of goodwilling TA producers and dj's who have given me good constructive feedback) and also more sounds (pads, arps, just little things to spice up the track)

Good luck mate. Just do your own thing and take out the elements of feedback with which you can truly do something. I hope people will buy the track (more than the 5 copies you sold) but I figure those who would buy this are not up to date on how good the trancescene is these days. ;)

^^

How a review can be constructive :)
iloop
thank you Nomen I really appreciate you clearing all this up and spending the time to write such a wonderfull review.
----------
No hard feelings alanzo, I really didn't post this thread to glory myself or argue. I just wanted to share a sample just like everyone else, and my feeling of joy that audiojelly.com descided to put it up as a top ten.
------
personaly i don't think this is anywhere close to my best track, and yea the people who buy this aren't TA producers...
Thats really the main reason I descided to start the label and put my music up for sale. People who aren't producers don't notice the tiny imperfections and all they really want are catchy, danceable, generic tracks that look like their popular...So, rather than wait and wait and wait till some big trance label descides they want to take a chance on me releasing buyable product, I did this.
if one person says your crazy you probably shouldnt believe him, but when more than 3 start saying you are then go check yourself out, so I will completely tear this song to its basics and see what i can do about the overall mastering and percussion.
----
thanks guys.

*oh and about the chip on my shoulder- I really don't think im better or worse than anyone else out there who puts in the time to produce something creative here on TA, I'll try to be more grounded.

Sorry to hijack your thread iloop, but i'm going to have to agree with Jay M. . Anal m - you're an . Now here's a tip for being constructive for a budding nice guy like yourself. example post.

Alan, I've reviewed your personality and you are an (negative).

Being an is sometimes ok but it won't get you that far in the world.
(understanding)

To improve on this I would suggest that you drop a few smiles into your moods and 'better luck next times' into your vocab.
(finish off on a positive)

Good luck

:)

That's true. Ever since I started producing music myself I'v e always been analyzing every track I hear. I don't know why... It just happens. And I guess I had more joy out of music before that, because I managed to listen to it WITHOUT analyzing it... Anyway, I was wondering what kind of headphones you use, iloop? Or do you even have any? Because I REALLY am shocked by the fact that you don't notice the disortion in the track. Really. It's the first thing I hear... But then again, I'm an analyzer, unlike potential buyers ;)
