i had a couple of crazy things done for me in the past... my last boyfriend, for 22nd birthday, bought me 80% of pvd's discography on vinyl....vinyl!!! i mean the package weighed about 60 pounds. at the time i was a serious pvd whore but i still appreciate every single vinyl he gave me, they are all classics and then some :toothless :toothless
i fell in love with my current bf when he was in ny for 2 weeks in august. 3 weeks later i went to ibiza with 3 other TAs and i asked him to come meet us there but he had to fly to tokyo for work-related stuff and said he could maybe come out for 3-4 days max, maybe not at all. the day before we left to go, he PM'd me with "11:45am, Eivissa Airport." he flew from tokyo to frankfurt to berlin to ibiza STRAIGHT just to be with me....and he stayed for 9 days.
he is the sweetest most caring person i have ever known and i constantly tell him it's gonna be hard getting rid of me, cuz i'm never letting his ass go!! :haha: :D :toothless |

I totally understood the message behind the gifts, screw the people saying it was about money...NO! it was about the fact that he remembers things she likes & pays attention. He wanted to surprise her in a way I'm sure she hadn't before.
I'd say he's a keeper, gifts or not, even if he showed up with ONE flower & a card. It was an extremely romantic gesture the way he did it.

lunasea that story is great! i wish i could travel all over the world and have my hunny meet me in one of the sexiest places on earth...
we said after we graduate (he'll be done with grad school around the same time i'm done getting my bachelors) we're gonna move to NYC and work there for a couple of years. just because we both love the energy there and the idea of living in NYC. we don't want to settle down there at all, but for a few years, it would be fun:) we talk about it a lot, so that's a good sign. he definitely sees a serious future with me if he's making those kind of plans.:D
and lisandra, exactly! he could have shown up with some hand picked flowers from the lobby of my office building and i would have been equally as happy. |
