Help w/ Wireless Connection

Desktop computer + modem are in basement.
Wireless router signal only reaches to 1st floor.
Bedroom is on 2nd floor.
Can i get some kind of router signal antenna or run the wire somehow so that i get wireless on the 2nd floor?? |

| you probably have a pppoe connection, in which case it would require ing about with the security settings. |

basically, a direct line to the computer for wireless rather than a dome of wireless. pppoe connections are harder to make wireless connections for than other types.
Yada yada, all I know is I attempted to do a wireless network on my pppoe connection and I'm still baffled. |

either that or a really dorky friend who knows all about that type of to spend an afternoon figuring it out.
One of the main problems I had with my connection was my adapter trying to connect to a router some 65465167 houses away. Make sure it's trying to connect to YOUR router, which you can find the specific name of your router by typing in some generic IP address with your router on in a browser address bar.
It's involved, and I suck at it.

| What kind of router do you have? They make routers that have a greater range and will work all over houses and in the back yard. |

| what kind of walls do you have? we had wireless here, but it didnt work so well, with the brick walls. can you move the router? |
