What would be the best way to travel between Detroit and Toronto? Is it better to drive, fly, take a train or bus between both cities?
I'm asking cuz sometime next summer, I'm planning on going to Detroit to catch a Tigers game and then get to Toronto to go to out a Blue Jays game at that place formerly known as the Skydome on back to back days :) |

Driving isn't horrible. I've done it. About 4 hours each way. :) |

Diving isn't bad at all. You can do it in under 4 without a problem if you drive with some nice agression ;) |

Since two of you suggested driving...
Another noob question:
If I rent a car in Detroit, could I drop it off in Toronto? Does it depend on what company I rent? (I'm only going one way) |

you probably cant do that. call aroudn and ask but most likely not.
if you are only going one way, take a taxi to windsor and hop on a VIA TRAIN. |

ooh...I didn't know about the VIA trains.
I'll have to look into this. This looks a bit better for me than driving only cuz I haven't really driven since my road test....

ive gotten back from Windsor in around 2 hours :D ... Got behins this beauty A8 and went around 160-170 the whole way back... So much fun, I wish everyone drove like that.
Its pretty expensive, your cheapest is taking a bus from Windsor but fastest yet not as expensive as air is rail.
Hitchhike... But you gotta follow the rules of the road. |

Driving to Detroit from Toronto through Windsor takes about 4 hours, depends how fast you drive, 130-150 the whole way = 3 and a half hours.
If you're 1-waying it, a bus is never a horrible idea, I think a taxi + Via might be more than just a greyhound trip though, look into it. |

The drive isn't too bad but I don't think you can rent in Detroit to drop off in Toronto - you could drop off in Buffalo though which is an hour away from TO over Niagara Falls.
I have been to Toronto 9 times since March from Detroit - trust me, the drive ain't bad. :) |
