i just saw the pic of sasha getting his cig lit by one of the fans and it just hit me....i think i'm gonna listen to that GU on my way to school :p

| really liked this post b/c my other non club non house/trance loving friends don't get that either. i try to tell them, what it does, the goose bumps i get when i hear a certain song, or the feeling i get when i look out over the crowd at 1,000's of people rocking to the same groove or going crazy when a mix is dropped or meeting new peole on the dance floor b/c you are both feeling the same vibe. it gets more intense for me every time i go out and see a dj or listen to a cd. and as i posted before what other group of people get to interact with their object of admiration more than we do in edm? man i have only really been active with you guys for about 6 months and already i have meet like 50 really great well known djs and even shared a long conversation and even a meal with! wtf, i love it and i'm so glad that so many of you do as well. i respect them for their talents, their drive their creativity and love of their craft and that they love to share it with us!!! i hope that we never let that get clouded in any way b/c we get side tracked about arguing about genres or being angry that someone doesn't dig my favorite dj or type of music that i do. man, i am just happy to be able to go to see them and share it with all you, so many wonderful people that i have come into contact with over the last 6 months, very passionate people on this forum board regardless of each of our tastes in the music we all love a form of it. we are all dedicated to our favorite djs and they love us for that as well. i'm sorry if this sounds corny or cheesey or whatever but i am under the belief that you make your own happiness and you live the life you deserve and i just try my damnedest to make the best ing life out there and being a part of the edm has sure upped that factor but about 100% since my life took such an unusual turn over a year ago. so thank you to you guys as well for flavoring my experience in edm and turning me on to so many great djs as well as sharing your dj styles with me. getting to dance to some of the TA's dj sets is one of my favorite things to do. so anyways, i will see your funky asses on the dance floor b/c you know that's where i'll be as often as i can, i can't stop dancing, don't want to, everything feels great when your on the dance floor and it's my favorite place to be!! peace:p |

i was a huge hip-hop/rap head just a few years ago, and recently saw the light! god did it change my life both in negative and posative ways....but the experiences i have had with soo many different people....i wouldnt change a god damn thing! long live PEACE LOVE UNITY RESPECT :)

At some ungodly hour of the morning, in a hot and stuffy dark room, a bunch of people, some close friends, some total strangers, are going absolutely wild because of one person, who has their hand on the mixer...
Its when you seriously believe (drugs help :wtf: ) that the guy behind the decks has taken you to another place...some undefinable place where the only thing that matters is the bass and melodies erupting from the speakers around you...as the person in charge takes you on a journey through electronically produced music intelligently constructed and put together in order to make you DANCE, FEEL, and LIVE.
Why do you think I hold Sasha with such high regard? He takes you on a ing journey, through all kinds of soundscapes, dark tracks, heavy tracks, pounding tracks, melodic tracks, minimal, techy, beautiful, vocal, deep, dirty disgusting...
You could use any of those words to describe some sort of track he dropped at any given point at ICE. A journey mixed to perfection so that you forgot if the track was changing or the mix was changing, and with builds so intense you felt like you were flying to space.
Music you can dive headfirst into and become completely lost in...with your friends near, hands in the air, screaming over watts and watts of sound as you look the DJ in the eye while he rapes your ears of their virginity...
