Those "blessings from rabbis" are the reason why European jews were virtually unaffected by the Bubonic plague. Kosher rules imply cleanliness and sanitation, not blessings and superstition. Do some research before you bash something you don't understand

Since the plague was spread by flea bites and had nothing to do with the manner you prepared your food, I'm not sure what this has to do with kosher.

yeah I wrong about the blessing part but not the stupidity part. kosher food is defined by superstitious laws from biblical times. So you're implying food that isn't kosher isn't clean or prepared in a sanitary fashion. There is a thing called USDA or whatever government organization that enforces proper food preparation. Welcome to the 21th century my little kosher noob.

actually the plauge was spread by rats and a poor sewage system...and there was no USDA during biblical times so they couldn't have very well regulated much huh?

heheheheheheh :p

you're not intirely correct, the rats didn't infect humans with the plaque, the fleas did. although its true the fleas were riding on the backs of the rats. The poor rats were unjustly blamed because they weren't kosher. :haha:

Just be careful and exercise good sense. Ex-cons tend to be re-cons shortly after leaving the joint.

i almost lied to my boyfriend about it...but then i realized that i don't want to get in the habit of lying so i told him. he's not too thrilled, but he's not like mad or anything. he's being cool about it.

i sort of stretched the truth a bit and told him that the main reason why he needs me to go is because he needs money put into his little commissary account and his family is all out of town so they can't do it...which is pretty much the truth. but when i was telling my boyfriend, i wasn't like, "Oh he's really lonely and just wants to have some visitors bla bla bla" i just left that part out.

and this guy is hardly a by the book jew...he's covered in tatooes...that's one of the biggest no no's in jewish religion. he's just doing it to get better meals. lol
