I have the privilege to be the DJ for the New Years party this year .
Some of the ppl from my school organized a party but they didn't know who is going to be the DJ , so my friend that knowed the organizator recommended me . Then they called me up and asked me if I wanted to do it , and I jumped on the occasion right away .
The party is going to be from 7 pm to 4 am , so its 9 hours of strait TRANCE and nothing else .
This is going to be a huge playlist , but I will be ready . By the way the party isn't that big , only 200 to 300 ppl will attend it .

9 hours ???? are you the only dj ???
if you are, you've to bring like over 80 vinyls or lots of cds..
always have a LONG Track in case you have to go to the loo.

yeah i have a white label 17 mins long, i would take that just in-case i pull a chick and head off to the boys toilets for a quick one. he he.

| I wouldn't have just 9hrs of straight trance! remember that not everyone that will go will like trance! Its good to have a mix of house, r'n'b, hip hop, and some :eek: pop. cuz its a houseparty and not a proper club thing, u will need to satisfy EVERYONE! :p |

Im gonna have to agree. If your djin a party with 300 people all of them couldn't possibly be trance addicts. But if they all just want to hear some kinda dance music then you are straight. Bring some back up cds, and if you see alotta people leavin put em on. |

Congratz dude!
I remember two years ago. I had to spin with a friend of mine at a party with I guess 500 people, variating from mostly alternative to mostly trance- and hardcore-loving.
It was REALLY difficult to satisfy ereryone. Cause I've been a tranceaddict for years it was also difficult to feel the taste of the crowd and trying not to mix it up with my taste.
Oh well. It is the kick of your lifetime. Great.

I know I just can't wait ,I am so hyper last couple of days .
The party is not going to be in a house , Its going to be in a warehouse So that is even better , no COPS or other residents complaining , and as I heard there is going to be 2 Dodge Ram trucks full of BEER and 1 full of food.
Yeah I was thinking about playing other styles too , not only Trance , but I can tell you Trance will desevre at least 6 hours out of 9 . Heehe . Because thats what the organizators asked for .
Someone asked how old I am , I am 18 . And yes I will be the only DJ.
