I kind of do not pay any attention to the "elitists".

Any way, See ya there at ATB, I am actually looking forward to it, just because I have not seen him before. Even if ATB trains wreck, I will still have respect for him. He is doing something with the scene and we all have our off nights in Djing. |

| I'm hoping to go there but chances are I might not since i'll be going up to austin alone from Houston. I'm already planning on going to austin the next weekend though to see G&D. going twice is gonna be a bit tough. |

I feel all yall on this, I am as anal as it gets when it comes to DJs. as ive been told and believe "just cause someone is a good producer doesnt necessarily make a good DJ, and vice versa.
" .. which is the damn truth. Alas many get booked just cause they produced a couple tracks and hits. Regardless, a DJ best bring it proper, righ?? hell the money we dish out to them they better. and, ATB was definitely one of those easy targets to slag on, until you hear him spin. My first chance to really hear him rip it up was when we had him come play at M Bar. The man dropped solid tune after tune... and some very fresh stuff from trance land that i wasn't familiar with but really rocked. WHich i woudl say is hard to do as i (like most of you) spend around 18 hours a day listening to new from the net or from my balance pool weekly stock.
Many suck on deck but rock it in studio.
sometimes they can rock it in both places, though i find that rare, as in PvD, Sasha, Tiesto, Digweed, LTJ type rare.
but dont judge his mid nineties trance hits by what he is up to today. The man has access to everything out there, and he gets it.
and yes, he can mix very well and with feel.
regardless, JoJo has lined up two balance types from tastylick studios, myself and Randall, on the bill to rock it no matter what.
I know its gonna be worth your money, and gonna be one sick party. |

Saw ATB in Dallas about a year ago @ Club Blue. probably the only trance party that wasn't worth my money. SnoWhite Rocked though!
But if I lived in Austin, I would still hit up ATB@Sky. Just to show my support for the local talent and see what kind of tunes ATB is working with these days. It's just not worth the drive. |

I was there too. When he started singing drunk into the microphone I got up and left. The mixing was great, but I wasn't interested in hearing him try to sing "beautiful things." I may end up going to this, but I don't want to go alone. So...who's going? |
