exactly. if you had dropped them before the drop deadline you wouldn't owe anything and be refunded...but now it's well past that so i don't think you're getting out of it.. |

Maybe it's finally time to realise you have to take responsibility of your actions sooner or later. Or maybe just get stoned again and forget about it for a while. Isn't that what you usually do? |

| I dont know the laws in Canada but in the States you gotta pay. Even bankruptcy wont get rid of student loans here in the states. I used to do collections for student loans. If you refused to pay, we would just get a judge to dock your pay. But this is mostly years after the loan wasnt paid. I would just wait until the loan collectors get on your ass & then give em some BS sob story on how you got no $$ & can only afford $50 a month payment. Most of the time they wont check your income. Then just pay that $50 every other month. Most of the time the collection agency will be happy about that. Once a payment agreement of $50 a month is made they cannot expect u to pay more. Also if you decide then to pay $50 every other month they wont go chasing after $50 missed dollars if you are still somewhat sending in something. Or if you got collectors calling you & you temporarily move to another country, that collections agency will prolly give up on collecting the money, since thier collecting powers cant cross borders. |
