I had a question about linking the pro-53 to a z3ta , Basically wanted to use the a patch in pro53 to create the lead and wanted to use the z3ta's arpeggiaator patterns to create my lead.
Any idea on how to set this up in ableton or cubase?
I initialized the zeta to have no presets and tryed many other wayts to route them but i still dont get the sound. Any help would be appretiated. |

You're running the pro-53 through the z3ta+ fx VST, right? Make sure you're not accidentally running it through the z3ta+ itself. |

Uh... it won't work. No way, no how.
Why do you need the arpeggiator on z3ta+ anyway? Just sequence the notes! |

Because the arpeggiator on the zeta has some bangn patterns, Like go to the lfo section on zeta and then on the top click the tab AR , all the way on the right. Then on the top where it says pattern go to somthing like pattern 112. I like that pattern of what i asume could be called a arpeggiator. But i wanted to use a synth lead type patch from pro-53. |

Yeah, I know what the arpeggiator does. You don't NEED the arpeggiator, just sequence the pattern yourself! Is it really that hard to listen to the pattern and take 10 seconds to input the notes into Cubase/Live?
What you're trying to do doesn't even make any sense. All the arpeggiator in z3ta+ (and any other sequencer) does is act as a buffer between the MIDI in of the entire instrument and the MIDI in of the oscillators, and translate the notes played into patterns. Point being, the arp is a MIDI INPUT function, not an AUDIO OUTPUT function (in fact, the arp in z3ta+ uses actual MIDI data to perform its function). It can't be used as an effect on another instrument. |

I'm sorry but diginut is correct. If you look at how to make the arpeggiator files for z3ta+, they're actually just midi files converted into this file specifically for z3ta. It's definitely MIDI IN and not Audio OUT. Just create the pattern yourself and put it into your sequencer. It's the same thing or try to recreate the Pro-53 patch on the z3ta and use the pattern that way. There's a few ways you can approach this. |
