Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for PSP

This is a HELL of a game. Something to breathe new life into Sony's mega portable gaming/multimedia machine. It takes place in Liberty City, the same place as in GTA III, the groundbreaking game from 2001. I was really impressed with the graphics, and the radio shows are absolutely more outreagous on LCFR (Liberty City Free Radio) then before. The new story line, combined with familiar characters from GTA III make this a fun story to watch. For any GTA fan, this is a definite must have.

Killer game, it has some issues...but overall it is one of the top 5 best handheld games to date. I'm almost done with it though unfortunately. Hopefully Vice City will see a port over to the PSP.

*EDIT* Yes it's 2001. Thanks for the correction.

So this is like a new GTA III with better graphics and a new story?

Yes and no. Graphics: less dazzling than GTA 3. New story: sort of. it's a side story based on one of Salvatore Leone's thugs, Toni Cipriani, both of whom happened to be in GTA III. The one new addition to this game is motorcycles, which were not to be found in GTA III. PSP doesn't have that many games out, so IMO this is a very welcome and entertaining addition to that system's library of games. Not to mention, another game in the GTA series.

It's an incredibly deep portable game. Definitely a full GTA to go. The one thing that pisses me off is all the damn framerate issues when the action starts getting hot.

That and the lagtime you get sometimes when you're changing radio stations. Chatterbox made me LOL.
