This is the main reason I like going alone , leave whenever you want :). dont you hate it when you're having so much fun and your friends are all nagging you to leave the club ? when you want to keep dancing ? well that happen to me countless times and I just got sick and tired of it, so sometimes i go alone , sometimes I tell them to drive as well so that if they wanna leave they can go ahead. you can meet people easier to because you dont have to worry about your friends while you are some place else. |

| I've never tried going alone but im seriously leaning toward it these days, none of my friends are realiable, i really need to start meeting TA's lol but it would be kind of awkward recognizing someone off of these boards and being all like "OMFG! I KNOW U!!1ONE" haha nah id prob have to have a few drinks in me ;) |

I can identify with going alone....I am from NY, and when I visit toronto, I can't get anyone to come with me, because my friends do not like the same music I do....So when I get up to toronto I just go to the club and dance my ass of with some ta's or friends of mine if they are there....
so even though I know a few people, going on a solo trip or even pulling the whole night off by yourself is really not so bad ;) |

I have gone clubbing maybe 95% of the times I ever gone out in my life.
It's easier to meet new people, do what you want and it can be real fun if you put your self image side.
You think other people care that you're out alone and that they think you're some kind of loser? Au contraire!
Most people don't notice and those who do notice you being alone they usually have immense respect because they usually would never have the guts to go out alone by themselves.
Being alone also seems to attract other people to you and random people trying to strike up convos and all the rest ( it's up to your imagination :p )
I'm not saying you'll feel ok doing it the first time but honestly it becomes a habit and it's totally cool.
I have gone clubbing in so many different countries/cities and had I been in a situation were I refused to go out alone I think I would have seen maybe only 0.1% of it all. |

I go alone a lot. More than most, but the thing is I am a social whore (as you all know:tongue2 )
I know that no matter where I go I will end up meeting up with people that I know there. So even though you are going to the club alone, you are not alone on the inside. Anyway it is easy to find the ones that are there for the music as well, and just spend the time with them.
Not such a big deal, it just takes some courage the first few times then it becomes routine. |

agreed
these days a lot of pricks are in the clubs. they ruin the experience. this is why i tend to go to lounges instead of the bigger clubs to maintain that closeness feeling with the others in the venue |

| I use to never go to a club by myself. I would end up skipping major parties because all my friends would cancel at the last minute. Now I go alone almost all the time. I'll always run into 10 or 20 people I know. Even if I go with someone, I'll usually wander away from them after a hour, so it doesn't make much difference anyway. |

Crobar / Spirit / Avalon are what Webster Hall was 5 years ago. The clientele they cater to are tourist. None of these clubs have a following. People just go out for the djs that they like (myslef included) not for the atmosphere or attraction of a club itself. |
