Nah It I've been too nice for long enough.
Soups I dunno why you don't like me but I know you never did so when I read your I laugh out loud. You have no ing idea do you? (thats rhetorical so no need to answer) I go to events on my own not to hang out with a cool and popular bloke like you but for the right reason. To listen to music and soak up the atmosphere.
I ing love seeing a club go off but so many times I have read in here how the night was ing awesome, the club was really pumping, crowd was really into etc etc etc. When the truth was I was there I saw the whole thing and the ing place was empty and had no vibe. Funnily it was people with a vested interest in the night going on about how good it was. 5am promoters were prolly most guilty of this when those s were so mangled they couldn't see 5 feet in front of their face.
When there was no uplifting trance in Melb. I was excited about DJ's wanting to play it. I was excited about it starting to happen again. I went and supported as many nights as I could. I tried hard to be nice to everybody. I obviously was not an all weekend partier so I have never fitted in. I don't give a . I never did. Some of my best memories (foggy as they are) are actually being out in the middle of a dance floor not knowing a single tune but enoying the moment and a smile I couldn't hide.
Isn't that what its really about? Not some random bull forum comment? |

what a fantastic night of fun..
i was feeling very lousy due to my horrid cold and flu stuff at hte moment, but i tried not to let it dampen my night.
a great start to the evening by Meghan Warren who opened downstairs with style, and got her DJ score on the board. well done crafting a killer first club set.
then upstairs opened and i was on.. within 5mins, upstairs was packed to the rafters.. what fantastic atmosphere there was up there.. i was loving it.. the wobbly dex and tempremental setup added to the atmosphere... hope you guys all rocked out to my set.. i tell you what i had a blast!!! played Ozgur Cans new tune, bit of Pig & Dan, had some Stoppage Time thrown in there as well as a few classics - Azzido Da Bass and Fatboy Slims - Star 69.. all seemed to go down a treat.. and Sikk - My Washing Machine... well farkkkk :) total choonage there.. finished with James Holden - Break In The Clouds (The Lamb Chops Whaddayamean Its Supa Tigga Rigga Wigga Mix).
blinky was very skilled at his 'live' art, and it seemed to have the people who stayed upstairs rocking... downstairs there was mr belleghem playing the prog tunes canadian style.. and that definately kept the punters keen for more..
we then went into lockdown mode and moved everyone upstairs for the set of all closing sets.. JulesPLees vs. Ben Evans.. great job to the guys who kept everyone rocking till the wee hours...
A big thanks to Matt from Tilt, as well as my partners in crime Ben and Matt.. great job guys and proud to be a part of this, and we shall see you back next month for more inter-view mayhem...
great to meet Alex Cooke, Teflon Teapot (properly chat to this time) Sunrise, and all the regulars.. thanks to Narcism, Kel, Vi, Scotty, Trev, Myles, Phil, Sezzy, Mangler, Charlee, Renegade, and most of all Ferry The Cat :)
thanks guys & girls for coming down..
hopefully see some of the photos from the evening up soon!!! |
