this is turning into another digital vs vinyl war. why do you care so much??? seems a bit narrowminded to be 100% on one side or the other.
for someone who claims to know so much about the business, your angry, profanity-laced posts don't give off any sense of professionalism... you're representing your label here...
best of luck with your releases |

quality thread.
DJLithium (and may i mention what a ridiculous name), perhaps if you could pull your own head out of your arse for a few moments you might actually realise how poorly you and your so called label are coming across. What up coming producer in their right mind would want to sign to a label with no credentials what so ever other than the ability to throw their toys out the pram when people don't agree with them?
I suggest ing off, brainstorming some names that are better than djlithium and black tiger, reading the idiots guide to sounding professional, and then go find your mother and slap the out of her for not teaching you any manners. |

Anyone would be pissed to get assaulted by tons of posts like you guys are sending. If you aren't interested in this then just leave, whining about his comments is so utterly pointless..
This topic should be locked.. |

The point is, he's coming to us asking for demos, and right off the bat starts calling people names.
It doesn't matter if people have heard of the label or not. I was very intrigued at first, though I thought the requirements were a bit ridiculous. Now discovering what their administration is like makes me not give a rat's. He's being a stuck-up prick and unprofessional as all get-out. Why would anyone want to work under such arrogant and ignorant conditions?

This is an open ended demo submission request by Canada's leading trance record company with reps, DJs and producers world wide. We maybe small, but we actually care a whole heck of a lot.

meh.. canadian producers need not be embarrased... it's tigers, especially those black in colour, that should feel ashamed that they've been chosen to represent this condescending and his label. |

I dunno, I think Lithium's only offence here is letting trolls get under his skin.
He's right, vinyl opens doors that digital releases just don't. Anyone can produce an mp3, so there's no "bar" to meet... getting the backing of a label means that someone thinks your music is good enough that they feel they can sell it for a profit, and that speaks volumes.
Distribution is everything. I'd rather have 100 serious DJs hear my tracks than 5000 random internet meefs. |

| Oh no, I absolutely agree there is something to be said for someone who gets a release pressed on vinyl. I don't disagree with his statements, I disagree with his business ethic. He gave responses that truly were not necessary in the slightest. |

Agreed... there's a professional attitude that's severly lacking from his posts. The way he presents himself should say a lot about the label with which he's associated.
Needless to say, he's not making a very good impression.
I can fart in a more polite manner than he can post in a thread. |
