last nite chelsea fell short of arsenals 49 game unbeaten run with a 1-0 loss to manchester utd at old trafford
that result couldnt have come soon enuff
money may buy a team instant success, but it will never buy them history tradition and it wont help them break arsenal's record

true to some extent, sure guys like Lampard and Terry provide the backbone of the side, which has existed prior to the 'revolution' but when you suck the market dry, in a trial and error process where guys like, lets just name midfielders for arguement sake Parker, Veron, Jarosik, Tiago fail to make immediate impacts and replace them with Makalele, Essien, Wright-Phillips all established world class players and at the peak of their career, I think you're bound to win at least the premier league. |
