The biggest selling EDM single of all time is New Order - Blue Monday.
This is a bonafied fact. |

If you reaaaally want to get picky about it.....Michael Jackson.
Thriller, an electronic disco album through and through, sold 45 million copies all by itself. If you include everything else, including re-issues, remix comps and "Greatest Hits...", he's sold well over 100 million albums.

i asked for EDM artist, not an artist who some of his records may be classed as EDM. There's a difference in my eyes |

Never realised JMJ had sold so much. |
It helps when your music appeals to the Baby Boomer crowd (also, hence Robert Miles). |
|

| MarathonMan |
| Reckon Depeche Mode are up there as well for selling loads |

absolutely no way can it be Tiesto in my opinion. his singles havent sold that well |
But his "Parade of Athletes" olympics album probably. More than one billion people could see his opening ceremony. And "Parade of Athletes" is the accompanying album... |

| it didn't sell that well. plus even if it was watched by 1 billion, i'd be surprised if even 1 million out of them actually went to buy the cd. and tiesto was quite secondary in that parade actually, not much attention was paid to him. i don't think it was such a big deal as people are making of it. |

Show me a single record of it charting on any album chart. The records we're talking about here topped worldwide charts. The Fat of the Land was simultaneously No. 1 in twenty-two countries. |

I know they were the world's biggest selling singles act in 1991. No figures though. |
