For the sake of sanity, ditch the Whiteroom mix of Summer Dream :D

good tracklist, the tunes are overplayed by asot fans...but it will work on the crowd, yeah...
but keep searching ur own path, dig ur own tracks... check the samples on juno or dancerecords... suggestion...

i agree with everyone that said it's really average. dj's should try and have some originality when you select tracklists...and this is exactly the problem with the tracklists in the dj promotion section...as a whole, they are just a different combination of tracks that markus schulz or armin or whoever play. the world already has markus schulz and armin...they don't need another one. i think this is ultimately what separates successful dj's...

i hope that is taken constructively and not merely as being an "elitist"

Surely if your a big DJ such as armin and co. you will play the best trance tracks and so " lesser " DJs such as this guy or myself for example are bound to have similar tracklists?

I don't listen to Armins ASOT or haven't for a very long time, i ve not even been in the country for nearly 6 months up until recently. since i ve been home i ve been catching up and buying records that i like. Its purely Coincidence that some of the tunes i am playing happen to have been played recently by other DJs. ......

Doesn't make anyone dull or a copy its just what they're into. Its not easy to find tunes that haven't already been played by one of the big 10 unless you know producers or are one yourself .....

I would say it depends on your audience and purpose with the disc. I've made classic trance discs and used more popular vocal tracks at times, but they had a set purpose. To reminisce or, with the more popular vocally cds, for fun and to give to women.

I always try to find different tracks and play things, as much as possible, that not many jocks are playing. If I know a couple of prominant locals that play a song, I will stop playing it. Especially if it's a big track, like a Say Hello. It just got killed and hammered to death by everyone, and is stilling being played. This track should be put away for at least 3 years, regardless of remix, IMO. If you choose tracks that everyone else plays, you have no personality as a dj. It's like formulaic production pieces. They can have functionality, but they don't do anything special. I would try to dig deeper, for more obscure tracks, as there are always a lot of them out there. If you are using digital formats, you should try the download sites, like Beatport and ThreeBeat. That way you're getting tracks before they're even released on vinyl, for the most part.

I always look 4 tunes on myself, didnt hear much redio sets or else. 4 trance I always check the news @ www.astralmusic.com. Always try to dig the best trance tunes as possible and its not a hasard that good tunes get caned by many DJs (they usually dont play tunes that have no effect on the crowd.
On the other hand I dont like playin CDs, so I only have the chance to play a choon when I got the vinyl in my hand.
And this tracklist I posted was all about trance; got a luv 4 bangin techno too ;). Techno tracklist would look like this:

1. Ame – Engoli – Sonar Kollektiv
2. Nicholas Wood – Get Lost – Ovum
3. Huggotron – Gin & Tronic – Jackmoves
4. Patrick Raddatz – Everglade (Huggotron Remix) – Weave Music
5. Secret Cinema – See Myself (Joris Voorn Mix) – EC Records
6. Gaetano Parisio – Chapter Nine (A2) – Southsoul
7. Adam Beyer – So Bizarre (A) – Mad Eye
8. Dimitri Andreas – Panther – Music Man
9. Smith & Selway – Altera (Adam Beyer Remix) – Tronic
10. Deetron – The Last Dance – Music Man
11. Massimo – Troublemaker – Definition Of Techno
12. Samuel L Session – Debris – New Soil
13. 2000 And One – Sunday – Intacto Records
14. The Advent – Big “Ooh” Booty – Sketch Music
15. Tomaz & Kobbe – Titan – Intec
16. Henry Chow – Risky Business – Zenit
17. Glenn Wilson – Physical Emotion – Audioemotions
18. Sam Ostyn & Trish Van Eynde – Drama Of Life – Minimaxima
19. Gaetano Parisio – 13/20 (A) – ART
20. Alloy Mental – Alloy Mental – Skint Records
21. Grindvik & Hardcell – Street Life (Original Mix) – Stockholm Ltd
22. Hardcell – Smulk – Inside
23. String Theory – Swarm (Umek’s Hornet Mix) – Intec
24. Patrick Skoog – Desolation (A) – Drumcode

But I think it would be a bit difficult to mix these styles together, but it could perhaps work when starting with trance gettin over to Techtrance and then and up with some good bangin techno ;). Still havent seen a DJ who has done this, because @ techno-parties it is very hard to start up with trance (dont think that the people there would like, perhaps progressive would be a better option 4 that) and @ trance parties it would perhaps get too hard especially if there is a DJ who is playin after yourself.
