K.
Here it is.
As some of you may know, i had to send my previous 3000s hack to stanton as they broke in like 4 places. Mostly because they broke very easily, some of it was no doubt because of my failure to be super nice to them. im hard on my gear. sometimes too hard. pair of 110 dollar headphones should be able to take it right?
Well i just recently got my new pair back, i had to get them shipped to cali, cuz i live in india, and in the end they got brought over to me. i now have the new design, which is pretty mich the same except its black, has the new logo on it, stanton was nice enough to send me a full new thing with a new case, cable, and extra adapter. i have to commend stanton on their support. prompt and easy to deal with.
OLD DESIGN:

NEW DESIGN:
Pretty much the same, i like the new look better personally, but i prefer stantons old logo- more majestic. i would have liked the old logo in black.
COmfort on these cans is perfect. they feel so comfy even after extended periods of use and dont with my ears and make them hurt. they are super comgy.
They also do a decent job of sound isolation, not the best not the worst, but in my opinion, good enough..
The removable cable is really a smart idea. i have had multiple cans die of broken cords. I wish it has the 1/4 inch jack natively with the big ass jack adapter, but instead it has a big ass jack with a 1/4 inch adapeter, which makes using these with a portable device a pain in the booty.
the blue LEDs on the sides are dope and i think people def notice them when you are spinning, kind of a gimmick, but people dig this kind of stuff, the remember it. it doesnt add or detract from these headphones. it wont cause them break easier, have worse sound quality, or save the world, just a harmless addon.
quality seems good to me. or at least good enough for a club. also what i REALLY LIKE, is it has built in filters on the cans! only like mixing with highs? it has a high pass switch, which is really good, the low pass switch is more of a low+mid, just sounds a lil muddy with no treble, but i find the high pass really useful and its easy to swtich between them, with a nifty lile switch on the side.
Overall, 79/100
good cans. if i wa sbuying new cans id go for the v506/v6, but im not and i have a new pair of these and they are damn good so ill be using em till they die! and when that happens, yall will know! |

i had a pair of these for exactly one week then they snapped.
im extremly careful with my gear but im doin a mix right, both cups in my ears.... i reach with my hand to pull the left cup off to sit behind my ear and SNAP!
flimsy fcukers. sound quality wise and isolation wise they got nothing on the HDJ-1000s |

| I was thinking of getting these... My Koss TD/60's are dying very very fast (they are about 15 years old, it got handed down to me from my parents). |

| I'm still using my 2000s phones and I love them to death. I've had them for almost 2 years and not one bit of trouble. |

Your right about them being a little flimsy, no doubt, but ive tried a couple pairs of 1000s and maybe its just the size/shape of my ears, but they didnt do it for me. |

I dunno...everyone was talking about which headphones they love, I'm in LOVE with my Ultrasones! The DJ1 PRO is amazing!
The regular DJ1 is also quite good...and not more expensive than comparable Sonys/Pioneers etc..
I've heard about A LOT of those Stantons breaking tho...:( |
