Well recently my mother board fried. * Lighting strike * and i got a new mother baord. Well it had a on board Sound card so i used that and took out the old one. But for some reason i just doesnt sound right. Its not loud enough and theres no bass. It just sounds so bad and i want to fix it.

I already went to the sound options and turned it all the way up and to no avail.

doesnt solve your problem.....
but were you serious about lightning frying your computer? i didnt know that was possible!!! now im thinking i better get a surge protected power strip......

The solution? Disable the onboard sound and put a proper sound card in there, because integrated sound invariably sucks ass.

True that

But anyway, it sounds like the soundcard "utility" that comes with the drivers has some stupid "virtual effects" bs thats making it go all weird. Try find that and turn it off ;)
