After spending some years spinning at illegal parties organized by him and a bunch of friends in "Zombie-City" aka Munich (Germany) Zombie mastermind, Splank released the first Zombie Nation 5-Track EP on DJ Hell's Label, International Deejay Gigolo Records in the spring of 1999.
Within the next year all hell broke loose. The debut release contained the unsuspecting song "Kernkraft 400" which developed a life of its own. The Zombie had created a monster that crawled into the brains of the people with unexpected power.

Now the Zombie-man had to get on with that extraordinary state of being a respected underground-electro project with a chart breaking hit. Should he adapt to these updated expectations? (To quote a major label A&R: "Hey, can you produce another hit that could be used as ringtone for mobile-phones?"). But what Splank created and cared for with Zombie Nation was much more than pandering to any marketing standards. Zombie Nation is about re-inventing oneself all the time, and you cannot calculate and intentionally adjust music without loosing your soul.

Staying true to your "inner beat" is what got Splank and the Zombie mystique where it is now. Nothing proves that better than his last Album released in late 2003 called "Absorber LP". This long player followed the first "Leichenschmaus" album which was released in fall ´99 on Gigolo Records.

Zombie Nation live has become its own brand. The global Zombie tour has spread across all continents during the last 5 years and will be going on this year. Sweetchilli is pleased to bring something a little left of centre to minichilli... as the global zombie tour hits the civic theate this January 6th.
