so what do you think? I googled for it and I found one article with the headline "Madonna reinvents dance music with new album".
Makes me wanna go over there with a shotgun. I haven't listened to the whole album. Just a few bits and pieces but if her track "get together" is "reinventing dance music" then any house producer out there must be f**king Da Vinci (Or your favorite cutting edge trance producer, if you can find one).
It's still a good tune but just because she found out about side-chaining compressors 5 years after daft punk used it in "One More Time" doesn't mean she's reinventing dance music.
Anyway, that's just ONE article and maybe they're just writing whatever promo notes the label sent them but it still makes me mad :).
And I haven't actually heard the whole album so I probably shouldn't get too carried away with this rant :)

I have heard the whole album. I agree with the Review that Rolling Stone put out about it...
They basically said that she is finally back to her clubby fun and danacable sound that she was known for. Her writing is still cheesey as she rhymes "New York" with "Dork"... The only other issue is that most of the songs sound samey in the sense that Stuart Price produced most of her album so there isn't that much variation in the sounds. The album is well put together, and A LOT better than her last one, but she is still not at the top of her game and probably won't ever be again. But this is definetly a decent Madonna album, and coming from a very iffy Madonna fan I actually like this album. |

What a boring album, mainly the vocals, not so much the sound itself.
A dub album would be a hell of a lot better than this garbage. |

yeah, i agree completely. her singing is so unimaginative and dull. and that's also what i think about the whole album. nothing stands out. she's trying nothing new, trying to scare no one, trying to appeal to everybody with this.
i'm sure all the 40 year olds (her audience) that buys this album thinks this IS reinventing dance music because they haven't been inside a club for the last 10 years. |

Music discussion is "where you can talk about Trance, or any electronic music." so why would the new release forum be any different? It IS dance music so it has every right to be here.
