99 Sudbury???

Hello fellow TA's,
I was just wondering about the venue 99 Sudbury. I mean, i've heard from lots of people that this place is closed down and no longer exists, but in the events forum, it says Marco Carola is spinning there on the 25th. Same night as Sander, which brings up yet another dilemna. I love Sander, but I also love some dirty techno. I also love the vibe at more underground spots, so thats why this 99 Sudbury party looks particularly appealing. Any help on this place, and its confirmed existance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

There was never a big TA following at 99, but as Jeff mentioned, a lot of tribers went, and quite a few of them played there regularly (Ian Guthrie, Lee Osborne, Mike D, and many more).
It has opened and closed at least twice - but when it is on, it's ON - it's a warehouse feel, no overbearing security, drinks out of a grocery cart until quite late in the evening ;) - not gonna lie, it can seem a bit "seedy" to someone used to places like system with big lights and a website and a last call and all kinds of security. It's very no frills - music, space, drinks, some lights, big system, that's it.
Sander will be back, the club he is playing at isnt going anywhere - but a techno DJ like Carola at 99 sudbury just doesn't happen very often. |

Thanks a lot skipper! I really don't care much when it comes to lights, and last calls. I mean drinks out of a shopping cart! Gotta check that out! I like the sounds of this place. As long as its got a bumpin' sound system and room to dance i'm there. And seeing as how techno is my first love. 99 Sudbury it is!

i did not like the see through doors in the washrooms!
but that being said, if they bring something there that sounds like something i wouldn't hate, i'll go since it's on my street. :D had lots of fun the one time i went, however, i was very drunk. |

| Ablefunk...just so you know, the Carola event is on the 25th, not the 26th. There was some confusion b/c of the typo in the event listing on other boards. |
