| I thought this was a 4hour set by PVD @ vision this sat night. This is complete bull S##T PVD is the lazyiest deejay after oaky. I understand he is deejaying night before @ roxy 6 hr set but please at least give chicago more than 2 hours. I predict he will probably bore us with time of our lives, crush and call it quits cause he is tired of touring back to back nights since Club Space gig. Tiesto & Armin both tour just as hard but give their 110% and end up deejaying more than 3 hours even when they are beat down from a gigs the night before. Hopefully PVD's website set time 1:30 to 3:30 is a mistake for chicago's gig. No offense to any PVD fans or Oaky fans but I was actually geeked to see what PVD was going to offer in his 4 hour set........ |

Sorry, I couldnt help but notice ur ranting about PVD being lazy and only playing 2 hours for you all.
Speaking from someone who just saw him at Space here in Miami FL this past friday, I can tell you 2 things. A- he will not be spinning two hours unless the club was too cheap to pay the #1 dj in the world for more time than that. dont look down on the dj, look down on the club looking to shave some pennies out of there pocket and make a little more from yours by bringing the #1 dj to play for 2 horus and charging you 50$ to see him. an experienced clubber would know thats bull and just go to a different night.
Also, I wanted to point out that PVD has been playing EXTREMELY well lately, in fact his set at space was prolly thebest set i have heard from him in quite some time. and in the past say..2 years ive seen him about 6 times. to be hoenst, id wager to say that the only people i have seen recently that can hold a candle to his talent would be Ferry Corsten and mayyyyybe armin.
Nothing against what you have to say, i think you should take your time and find out the facts before you rant on a board about how the #1 dj in the world thats voted by people like you is now the LAZIEST because you dont like that he isnt doing a 4+ hour set
just a thought.

I'm glad you managed to mention that he's the #1 DJ in the world several times. Because 130,000 votes is definitely enough for something conclusive as that. Or is it? Maybe it is the same 130,000 assclowns that have been voting Tiesto into #1 for the past 3+ years which definitely speaks volumes for the validity of DJ Mag's Top 100 rankings.
I don't want to turn this into a debate about whether PVD is #1 or not - I'm sure there's dozens of threads elsewhere on these forums devoted to that. The point being is when you start using those rankings to leverage an argument, it pretty much means that you have nothing else left. As an aside, it's funny how DJ's get called lazy as soon as they hit #1 on the ranking list.
I enjoy PVD immensely, not as much as I used to - but still a great deal. And I won't be going to the show. Everyone else, have fun |
