so i met this cool guy in one of my classes who is going for his interior design degree for yachts...his company is paying for it. he is already a yacht architect (went to Univ. of IL) and he's from chicago. really cool guy...
the boat show was last weekend which is like this huge event (Ft. Lauderdale, FL is the yachting capital of the world). people from all over come to look at these megayachts and there's food and live music.
that classmate hooked us up to a VIP tour of this like 40 something million dollar yacht :wtf: only "serious buyers" were allowed to tour it, but since he works for some big company, he was allowed to get us on the boat...*ahem* i mean YACHT.
dude, i cannot ing believe that there are some people out there who would drop 40 million on a boat. i mean as we went on the tour, the tourguide chick (daughter of the Trinity Yacht owner...total preppy snob) was like, "oh and this bathroom shower is done in imported Persian Opal, bla bla bla. all the bathroom faucets were in 24kt gold...:wtf:
i'm surprised there wasn't a big roll of 20 dollar bills next to the toilet to wipe your ass with.

whenever i see that kind of outlandish spending i think about how many poor children lives could be improved with it. then i shrug my shoulders and move on. |

| When I become loaded, Ill get a yacht... but nothing close to that extent - the most Id pay is like 1 mil. The thing is, it might be alot to buy one, but its just as expensive to maintain one. |
