Yea that was my point. I'm not the type of guy to be with a Y girl while looking out for X. I'm totally gonna be into Y if I decide to be with her. It's not fair for either of us if I do otherwise.
If you're gonna end up breaking up with Y because an X comes along, you should be doing it for the right reasons, not just for the sake of X being super hot or some crap like that. |

| yeah i can understand this concern. and i've kinda come to a point in my life where i don't want to just date people because if i'm not really into them...i kinda know what i'm looking for these days so don't really feel like getting involved with someone that i'm only semi-interested in. and i'm not talking about something like blonde or brunette, but just in general level of attractiveness and personality stuff like that... |

X girl is the one i LIKE
and Y girl is the one i could possibly go out with...
I end up not getting with Y because i like X more and wanna keep that option open just in case. |

i agree.
as for me, i don't really go after a particular "type"... i never have and i never will. it's more fun to just meet people and see what develops rather than saying "ok, i want a person with these qualities, this sort of physical appearance, this kind of lifestyle, etc"... having limitations like that just makes it boring. i'd rather judge someone based on how they make me feel and how well we connect, rather than the type of person they are.
i mean, as long as they're not a serial date-rapist... :wtf: |
