I heard from a fairly reputable listener that Chable finally learned how to DJ on tour.
I'll be reading here to see if you all agree before I decide to download any of his live stuff. |

Reputable listener being my friend who is raving about a live set he is now playing over and over again.
and I have not heard him before the tour. AUTAs [I cannot recall exactly which] told me he was e when commenting on an event down there, so it scared me off of downloading his stuff.
Hence why I am awaiting your reviews on this night for a second opinion.

That's exactly the answer i expected.
If you've never seen him DJ before, how can you possibly make a comment like that?
It really amazes me. I have heard so many people bag Luke's DJing online, only to find out that they have never actually seen or heard him play!
PS. Luke not playing at PF this month, he played last month ;) He was great. All the new Lo-Step stuff is insane. He's playing in Sydney (is that where you are?) at Chinese Laundry this weekend, you should go and check him out :) |

Not raggin, taking other people's word for it. Like I said, should the reviews be good, I've decided to give him a chance. Until then, he's still off my list of 'must' downloads.
And no, I'm not in Sydney, I'm in Toronto, and he didn't stop here at a time when I could go see him, and from what I heard the reviews were mixed, even when he played alongside Dave Seaman, so even then it took my eye off of him.
Not that I'm raggin on him, it's just I've heard not-so-good reviews from enough different sources to warrent me not listening to him to this point. |

Oh c'mon Sly_Guy give the man a chance! What happened to making your own decisions? I think people are hard on Luke as a DJ because his productions are so amazing...they expect too much!
I downloaded a set of his as I had not heard him play much and was quite suprised at the sounds I heard. I now listen to it regularly :)
I caught Luke at PF and was really impressed. I am looking forward to see what he does with a bigger room at Renaissance & Sasha.
C'mon take the chance and download that mix/set. If you hate it Dean Millson will give you a refund ;) |

heh....I'm already backlogged [as usual] in my listening to new music. I have to be selective in what I add to my queue. ;)
But the set my friend is swearing by is the Shiloh & Chable October 2005 mix available at the mixing bowl. Anyone else out there heard it? Thoughts?
