Which do you consider best ?
My personal vote goes to Mixmag.
People there have a strong sense of humor, they are not elitists, they can write perfectly balancing entertainment and information,
their CD review section is unbiased (up to a certain point)
if its cheesy they will say its cheesy, if its not good it will have 1/2 stars
Even if its a huge cd, if there is something about it they dont like, they will find a way to get their point through (for those smart enough to understand)
And if the cd has 5 stars it will be worth your money (Like Deep space NYC).
The content is entertaining full of party pics ect. and they like techno which can only be a
good thing in my book.
This is my idea of how a good magazine should be.
BPM
No content, full of ADS.
ADS, ADS, ADS and ADS.
Cellphones, clothes, watches, Dj gear..
but no content.
This whole magazine is one huge advertisment.
Their articles are stupid and uninspired.
Their cd review is BIASED.
If its a cd Backed up from a major label
(for ex. huge chessy Ultra/Positiva trance )
it will have a positive review (even if its unoriginal and e).
And they claim to be ''indie''
''Indie'' my ass!
URB
I like this mag even if it's more for hip hop and less for less for electronic music.
It's fun to read.
xlr8r
Worth to subscibe to, hands down the pick of the bunch from the US mags.
Unlike BPM they are not all about the ''bling-bling''.
Knowledge
Jungle. I like jungle. If you like jungle to, this is what you should be reading.
Dj mag
Dj mag and their inaccurate, pathetic top dj poll...
Flip though the pages at the news stand and buy only if the cd is good.
Disclaimer :
This is just my opinion.
We don't have to agree.

Dj Mag caters for everybodys needs, its a mag that covers the whole spectrum of dance music, and its more underground orientated, not much in the way of trance features, but the reviews are pretty much spot on.....especially for trance, Tim Stark is always on the money with his reviews for trance, and its a pretty good read
I know they have the dj poll, but this mag has helped me with alot of my purchases over the past 5 years
Mixmag, is more commercial mag, the reviews are pretty much a pile of , and it is more trance orientated, its not bad....but the pics are good though
my fav mag, that dont publish any more is Musik mag, oh and M8 is pretty good |

I agree.
It's full of content and you can tell these people are working hard to put together this magazine. |
