I'm curious if its going to be a massive like TAO with varied genres or is it just gonna be more of a club atmosphere. This is looking better to me than TAO cuz I always missed Flemming whenever he is in NYC (except for once) and Ive been dying to hear M.I.K.E. :D ive seen PVD madd times already this year so I can do without him for one event...

it won't be a massive, it is club experience and a decent lay out, not as big as the normal spundae host circus next door but still cool. gonna be a very GOOD night, jOOf, you just can't get better than that imo, but anyhoo, i'll be there for sure so say hi or i'll say hi or whatever, gonna be great!

Arena is a very decent sized venue, when its packed, its crazy.

It is one of the best venues in L.A. in my opinion, and even though there aren't any solid nights there right now, this is a special event since Spundae is running there instead of at Circus, so that means it is guaranteed to be packed.
Arena sound is so so, but I am sure that Spundae will go above and beyond to make sure that everything is on point for NYE.

Arena has the best smoking patio in L.A., its on the second floor outside under the stars and the whole layout of the club is nice.

When Arena is being used at its full potential and capacity, It is 2 levels, 5 Full Bars, 1 Main area which gives it a very intimate feeling even when its packed. There are railings around 1/2 of the main room on the bakconies so you can stand and get a great view if you just wanna chill for a second.

There are nice couches and chairs along the main floor and upstairs.

2 mens and 2 womens bathrooms which are usually maintained really well throughout the night.

a coat check.

very friendly staff for the most part.. and... thats about all i can think of right now for PROs for Arena.

TAO is not that impressive, unless you actually have a thing for massives.
And I agree with you 100%, I have seen pvd a million times this year. He is my #1 DJ, but still, i dont need to see hm every single time, especially not when there are promoters that are putting together truly unique combinations of DJs that we rarely get over here, like Spundae.

TAO lineups are all a typical formula, and if you go with good friends, you will probably have a good time, but you will usually end up missing most of the music getting lost or walking from area to area trying to catch your fav dj for their 70 min set...

Spundae @ Arena, or really just even a more focused event... is going to be probaly more organized, and will most definitely be more about the music since it's all just right there.

Anyway, wherever you go, have fun and be safe, but if you dont come out for NYE, you DEFINITELY need to hit Arena on a good night, just to see it.

Who's the opening DJ in the main room for that night, again?

Anyone else thinks that Circus has the best patio in L.A.?

They have only announced the 3 headliners, and with them , it doesn't look like they would even have room for an opener, so who knows.
And yes, of course circus has an a amazing outdoor patio as well, but the second floor balcony rocks imo @ arena.

So Markus will be opening? Like he's in a rush to go somewhere else afterwards :D

There will be other DJs at Arena that night though, as DaveT's announcement states ;)
