Like they say music is subjective, and you're definitely entitled to your opinion. Be it right or wrong, it's your opinion.

It's never been about superior mixing skills with G & D imo - its about going out and having a good time.

Isn't that what clubbing is about?

Sometimes I think people forget the reasons for going out in the first place - overanalyzing kills everything

Just my 2 cents

I don't doubt I'll have a good time, I always do regardless of how bad the DJs suck but part of being a member of a music forum is to criticize the artists that suck and praise the ones that don't. I wasn't trying to be negative, I was just giving my review and there's nothing wrong with that.

It was not my intention to single out anyone - It was more of a general observation - Everyone is entitled to their opinion and of course voicing it in a place like this is just the place to do it.

All I meant was that going out and partying should be just that sometimes.

how can their mixing suck? they use ableton dont they:conf: wow u really gotta suck if poeple say that and ur mixing with that program.

anyhow... ya im not a big fan of their sets. i tink i have 1 in my external harddrive and its their essential mix... from nikki beach and i have it mostly casue i was there.... i thought that was a good set.. but when i downloaded it, i was thinking WOW great music, more like "wow i was there"

I think one important thing that a lot of people forget is that it is quite a rare talent for a DJ or group to be good at both producing and DJing at the same time. I mean I hate Tiesto's spinning but I like his older production work. PVD is one of the few I know who can do it.

I know. I didn't think you were singling me out, I just don't understand why people get all bent out of shape when someone gives a DJ a bad review. It's just like seeing a bad movie- I'm gonna tell all of my friends that it sucked. If I want to see a DJ and a friend tells me he's horrible, it's not going to make a difference to me because I know that my friend may have different taste.

Anyway, enough of that. I'm looking forward to this night.

are you really coming?

I, for one, like Gabriel & Dresden. Especially their earlier productions. "Duncan Sheik - On A High", "New Order - Someone Like You", "Dave Gahan - I Need You", "Nalin & Kane - Beachball", "Three Drives - Carrera 2", "Evanescence - Hello", "Grayarea - One for the Road". All quality tracks that I use to bang back in the day. Their newer stuff is more hit or miss. Their remix of "A&B - No one on earth" is outstanding but projects like "Swing to Harmony" and "Ozgur Can - Changed" was disappointing.

Tom best captured it when he said:
quote:

snafubrit: they got suckered onto the ing armada - us brits will destroy it again like it was 1588

In my eyes, along with Markus Schulz, G&D's decline started after they teamed up for Armada. Thank you Armada for advancing formulaic soulless music.

ok, chris is sick and can't think of any more even remotely amusing t-shirt ideas. I like the first one too, but i think it could be better...it needs to be more cheeky. and less cheezy (as i slap myself for posting the second design):whip:

but yeah, i need some cool sayings....and yes, i can print on black...it's just a transparent iron-on, so i could technically print them on anything.

and then there's the matter of how many and how much. I will figure out how much they cost and i'll post and you guys can let me know if you want one. (should only be like 8 bucks or something) and then you can pay me the night of the event.

~Chris
