Hi all,
I need more songs to spin. Maybe you can reccomend some good songs that will go with the songs i am currently playing out right now?
Please feel free to reccomend anything that would fit into this playlist

I am obsessed with the swedish mafia but am up to date with their current tracks, but anything that would fit in i would love
additionally i love the electronic voice thing going on in banrock paul rogers mix so if you can think of anything that sounds similar let me know

i was under the impression this was an online community designed to foster intelligent conversation on electronic music
telling me my set is boring and not giving any suggestions how to remedy the situation is not productive, it is insulting. If people have constructive criticism, bring it, but if you can't help me out, then saying something rude doesn't do any good.
I am a relatively new dj and I am trying to improve and I would appreciate any help anyone can give
I don't consider straight up insults helpful |

Well he's right... and someone can't just give you advice. You don't go into a party with "advice" you go in looking to have a good time and throw everyone a good party... How does your crowd take to your music... if they like it then go with it if they don't, then try something else... mix it up... try a few different styles at first to get a feel for their tastes. Think of your set as if you were telling your crowd a story, tease them, keep them interested.
But honestly man, as far as music... your the DJ dude... if you don't know what you want to play than there is really no point in doing it. A painter doensn't have to ask what to paint. You need to fall in love with and know your music, you have to have an uncontrolable need to want share the music you love, you have to be the freak whose always at the record shop looking for that new signiture tune or finding a new way to use an old one. If this is you than good luck. |

Scolomon have you checked out some of angello & ingrosso's latest livesets? i'm sure you'd find some wicked tunes in those. not really my style so I couldn't recommend anything to you. |
