Amazing game, was just watching the highlights as I was battered while watching it yesterday. That chip by r0000n was incredible. Sven is a good manager, he doesnt take from anyone and does it in his own style. Not sure about luke young though.
Ste
was a pretty amazing game to be fair, both defences outshone by both attacks. will be great when gary neville and ashley cole are back.
DRM
it was a great game and regardless of the result the main point was that england showed what we all knew that they can play up to the big matches when its needed. One point tho is that i know a lot of people are saying lampard and gerrard cant play together as they are too similar. i personally dont agree with that. back in the last euros they worked fine together and when the results were coming for us no one complained at all. Again in this match they proved that they can still play there together with beckham and cole and the unit as a whole when the team is playing well works perfectly.

Good fightback indeed, you actually showed some balls for once.
Oh and Mr DRM - when i went to taunt you on msn about N.IRELAND 1 England 0, did you not say you had no interest in football? :D

Fantastic game, you have to give Argentina credit, Riquelme rocks!
Ste
riquelme did own quite a bit but he also like to get theatrical quite a lot - also i noticed a lot of hard tackles that won the ball by england got punished but when the argies completely barged somebody off the ball in a 50/50 it was let go, there is a difference between sheilding the ball and twatting someone which the ref didnt seem to grasp :stongue:

aye, that was pretty ridiculous wasnt it? bloody Refs!! There seemed to be some real determination in the England camp for that game, and you know what? a Friendly without 20 million changes by Sven!!! I think he did 4 but tbh they were necessary, tactical changes that did the trick.... Wayne Bridge deffo had to go off, I think it was a bit unfair for him to be playing in the match, he's only just come back from a serious injury and to play a team like Argentina is asking a lot of him!

Very good match though, Lampard was off and we still won! woot :)

Our team is over-hyped as soon as we beet #2.

imo, the only players that are really up to international standard are Owen, Beckham, Gerrard, Campbell and Lampard.

Rooney is good, but he's not THAT good, and he's not the first young player to be good for his age. He's going to be outdone soon anyway by this young Argentinian lad who's name escapes me now.

I think we'll do well in Germany, we might even win it, but certainly not in style...

dunno what u've been smoking but put it away its making u slower than a grandad driving a vauxhall nova. Rooney was every bit as good as Riquelme and thats not even him at his very best. People like Maradona and Pele proclaim him 'the best young player in the world' yet u say he's not that good. I suppose next we'll be hearing that David Beckham is bankrupt or that last night a pig was seen flying over the horizon.
