but a lot of people take it at face value as a rating of talent. Thats the problem. And guys like Tiesto and PVD exploit it too.
Real music fans would never ever even care about such a list. Some of my favourite djs are in the top 250 and some didnt even make it..but that doesnt make them any less worthwhile. Sadly some people dont think that way. |

I do not know about that. Nobody says "they are the best because they are # 1", or alteast I have not heard them say it.
I think people do realise that polls are popularity contests. People usually got that lesson in life, during grade school when they were asked, for the first time, to elect somebody to the student government.
At least these polls allow us to see who people are listening to, which is interesting, to say the least. |
