does anyone know if big dj's like PVD,oakenfold, carl cox etc...have private jets??otherwise how do you do multiple events in one night on NYE???i don't know of any southwest flights from LA to SF that leave at midnight on NYE???or are they getting paid that much that a promoter is willing to book a private jet for them??

I don't think so...i've been on a few flights to LA where i've seen Oakey in first class. On my friend's way home from Miami after the WMC he saw BT. And last year at Coachella, after Sander K's set he hopped on a chopper to hit the airport for LA I believe.

So they may only call in the private jets for something like having to play in different states on the same night.

'Private Jets' can be rented for cheap these days. None of your favorite DJs are flying around in a Gulfstream...except maybe Tiesto...and even then...he hasnt raped enough people at TiC to do that...

but in a situation like pvd on this NYE how does he go from LA to SF with in 2 hours??considering having to check in and driving time must be impossible on a comerical air line these days..

i remember carl cox did like 3 shows on NYE 1999-2000, how was that possible with out your own jet?

Teleportation.

The Promoter arranges a charter flight.

One promoter co-ordinates with the other promoter to handle logistics. This is common enough and affordable considering the overall budget for such events.

You really think a promoter can afford to fly a DJ in a private jet?!?!?!? Not in LA ,, i don't think so. There's not enough paying customers here ..
