Hey people,
I've been Dj'ing for several years now and always had the ambition to produce my own tracks but never had the money to build my own studio...
But recently I got the program Reason V3.0, with this you should be able to create a more or less good track but the thing I need with it is a USB MIDI keyboard as stated in the user's guide. What I need to know from you all is:
* Is this program good enough to put in a lot of time of getting to know it? And what are your experiences with this program..??
* Where should I start looking for a USB MIDI keyboard, and which type or brand do you recon me, also what is a good price for this when you're starting as a producer..?
I would appreciate any useful advise... |

you live in nijverdal, I live in Enschede, not too far away :).
Reason is a supurb piece of software, a lot of well known artists work with it these days. Don't expect awesome results in a day, it is more likely a matter of years.
For a decent midi keyboard I would advise you to go to Feedback in Apeldoorn, it's quite near the train station and Apeldoorn is about an hour away :). They have good midi keyboards for only 75E :) they're very helpfull so if you have any questions about anything music related, they can probably help you out. Good luck!
If you have any more questions feel free to send me a mail if you have any questions. info AT storytellermusic.nl |

Isn't Reason a tad hard for someone starting out? I'd personally recommend FL.
Also, you guys are lucky to be in the Netherlands. There's hardly a trance scene in the US outside of the major cities... |

i also got reason 3 about three months ago, never produced before and seems fine to me. just have a look at the tutorial and do a lot of reading about everything: synths, sampling, eq, compression, percution.... |
