TranceAddict officially does not support file sharing of copyrighted materials. That being said, why is it okay to post downloadable DJ mixes in this forum?

Just wondering what the "official" guidelines on this are.

David.michael or whatever,

Ever wondered that not everyone is using copyright!!!!
And T.A is not sharing anything, dj's and producers on this site are free to post URL's(links) to music.

happy now?

labels generally don't complain about people using their tunes in mixes... it's extra promotion for the tune & not like the full thing is being given away

it's still illegal technically but when there's no-one to complain, there's no bad rep & no trouble & it's basically all gravy

good enough for me then, heh

I just wanted to make sure I didn't break any rules...

For them that copyright is mainly so that people dont illegally distribute the singles - also, if DJ's didnt spin the music, no one would buy it because it would never get out there. ;)

in this forum you can post for download any mix thats been created by yourself.
It must not contain illegal MP3. (pretty obvious if your tracklist contains a track thats not been released yet)

You can not post a link to download a set from anyone else, it must be your own work, so for example you can not post a set by PvD to 'promote' him, he does not need it.

it would also be nice to get a little background on the mix that you present, what equipment did you use, any inspiration for the mix, is there a theme to the mix or did you plan it to progress or flow in any way, that way feedback you get on your mix will enhance your skills for what you are trying to achieve.

This forum is not for promoting yourself on a radio stream (net or otherwise, there is a sticky thread in music discussion for that purpose, you can however present for download a mix of yours that has been played on a radio staion after its airing.
