hey guys, i just recently got my setup and ordered some records in bulk (20). still waiting on them... anyway, i love trance music, but i am not a big fan of vocals... i was wondering if anyone could suggest some records and or artists that i might be interested in.

i think its soo hard finding records to buy... i dont even listen to dj music.. i've been listening to bands like phish and the disco biscuits since i was a teenager.. i saw HALLUCINOGEN aka simon posford spin at a music festival (camp bisco) over the summer and i loved it. that's when i became interested in spinning and that was not too long ago.

anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks,
bisco

This is how I find tracks I like:

1. Download tons of mixes (www.themixingbowl.org)
2. Find the tracklist for it, even better the cue file
3. Select the ones you like the best

if youre in the US, i recommend www.dancerecords.com. for the uk www.juno.co.uk or www.chemical-records.co.uk

or follow these simple steps:

1. go to this thread <>
2. start visiting websites and find a couple with samples & a good selection for your styles (from your country is a good start)
3. clear the next 4 hours of your day and prepare yourself to spend alot of money.
4. listen to tons of samples, noting artists/labels/remixers/singers/producers.
5. whilst doing this, open another window and go to www.discogs.com and check out other releases on the label/by the same artist/etc to get a feel for the genres and the scene in general
6. sell your soul for more money for vinyl/cds

Try artists like:

Airwave
Ronski speed
Mirco de govia
Airbase
Markus schulz
Probspot
many more.....go to (www.di.fm) to listen to the channel called trance and not vocal trance...and they post their playlists...so ull b able to get the song title quite easily.
The reason i mentioned these guys is cuz not only do they produce...but they also remix alot of tracks as well so u shouldnt hav trouble findin their records....and they r very talented in my opinion...chek out some songs and see if thas ur taste.
